Re: Fidelity Investments American Express

Is it the case that you are not planning to apply for anything else (you mentioned this in your first post)?  If so, then applying now is certainly OK, because a) you might get it

and b) with two other inquiries this month, another one will age off at the same time and it won't count against you as you aren't applying for anything else.  So, if you aren't successful, then wait your planned six months (or if you can, a year for these inquiries to not count as part of the score).

No I really can't think of any other cards I'd want to be honest.  I want to PC to a legit cash+ eventually and when my score warrants it a bce from amex.  I think the fia amex would really be a fantastic addition to what I have.

Re: Fidelity Investments American Express

I think you have a chance; and even if you don't get it; you haven't harmed yourself because like bs6054 said; your inquiries will be aging off right around the same time. Obviously you should be prepared for either accept or decline but at this point one more inquiry isn't the end of the world... as you've already accrued several.

Congratulations.  Remember to set up your Fidelity brokerage account (maybe you can reopen the one you closed?) to maximise the reward structure.

Re: Fidelity Investments American Express

Its actually still open.  I just rolled out my 401k.  My brokerage account has had about 45000-5500 account value for about two years.  On the online app it asks for the fidelity account number and I am thinking that my personal account may have influenced the decision.  I've had to recon every card I had.  I'll be curious to see which beurea they pulled from.
