I am so excited to get my foot in the door with Chase. I applied for a bp visa about 10 days ago and I got the "letter in two weeks" screen. I called a few days later and they kept telling me the application was pending. Someone finally told me the bp visa has been declined but the bp store card was pending. Everytime I called, the csr would tell me that there was nothing they could do, I just had to wait. Finally I called back Saturday and got a csr that was willing to help. She asked me a bunch of questions and finally said that she was going to give me a recommendation for the card and someone will call me in the next day or two from the verification department. They called me yesterday but I missed it so I called them back this morning and they approved me for the store card for 400.00. I know it's not much of a limit but I am very excited because I just wanted in the door with them so I can eventually get the freedom card! I owe alot of thanks to this community because I would never have called and called until I got some sort of an answer from them. I feel like they would have denied me if I would not have been persistent.....so thank you all!! ![]()
It's funny how many csr's you have to go through to get to one that will help.

Congrats! But looking at your scores and cards, it looks like you could have qualified for a freedom now, provided that your credit history is at least 1 yr....

I was trying to quote a previous post but I can't from my mobile. Anyways......I have only had my credit accounts open for a month or so. I was going to wait a year before applying for anything bigger with chase....hopefully I can get something then

I'm loving mine as well!!!
Saddened that I have to shelf it for a month to get the balance to $0.
