I am so excited to get my foot in the door with Chase. I applied for a bp visa about 10 days ago and I got the "letter in two weeks" screen. I called a few days later and they kept telling me the application was pending. Someone finally told me the bp visa has been declined but the bp store card was pending. Everytime I called, the csr would tell me that there was nothing they could do, I just had to wait. Finally I called back Saturday and got a csr that was willing to help. She asked me a bunch of questions and finally said that she was going to give me a recommendation for the card and someone will call me in the next day or two from the verification department. They called me yesterday but I missed it so I called them back this morning and they approved me for the store card for 400.00. I know it's not much of a limit but I am very excited because I just wanted in the door with them so I can eventually get the freedom card! I owe alot of thanks to this community because I would never have called and called until I got some sort of an answer from them. I feel like they would have denied me if I would not have been persistent.....so thank you all!! 
It's funny how many csr's you have to go through to get to one that will help.
