Finally Closed First Premier!

I just got off the phone with FP and closed my account!  I had the account for 2 years and tired of paying $7 a month!  They transferred me to an account specialist and she tried to tell me that I really needed to keep the card open for 35 months to really get the full benefit on my CR's.  She also offered me a $45 credit.  I said no thank you, and the account is closed!

Besides utilization, closing the account won't change my scores, correct?

Congratulations! If you have the same utilization as before you closed FP then yea, your scores should be the same.

They have an execution date of 3/16/12 in my wallet. 1 year is all they get! They must have bumped their heads thinking i'm going to pay them $7 a month for a CC!
