They weren't joking when they said it'd take up to 60 days! I got my WalMart Discover card yesterday! And it looks like I won't have to complain to anyone because my $3000 limit stayed, instead of the $2000 I THOUGHT it was going to be (per what Credit Karma had).

I think a lot of people have seen an upgrade offer with a lower CL than their store card.
In case anyone gets the Discover upgrade from the Walmart Store card, and the offer's info shows a lower limit, before upgrading, call the number they list for "If You Have Any Questions About This Offer" or just the upgrade number itself, and ask them about that. I did and was told I would keep my same limit (per info I would lose 300 of my CL). When I told the CSR on the phone that's why I wasn't sure I wanted to take the upgrade offer, she said I would most definitely would not see my CL decreased. So I would call and ask before taking the upgrade just to be sure.
