Finally have a score. Should I apply for a real card?

joined USAA credit monitoring service and it shows a fako score of 710 for experian and equifax, Transunion says 9002. I have no idea where that number comes from.

The only thing showing on my reports is Kay Jewlers, $300 limit 0 balance Should I try for a real visa or master card or a good store card since I now have a score or just wait a while? I do also have although not reporting Cap1 $500  Cap 1 Secured $200 Badcocks $1,500. I also applied for before I had anything reporting and been denied walmart. Amazon, FireStone, Macy's, Citi and discover student cards all denied for no credit history

Fico scores 6/1/14 Ex 680 Eq 668 TU 692

Cap 1 Unsecured $750 / Cap 1Secured $200 / Kay's $300 / BOA $500 partial secured / Badcock account $1,200

Denied: Kohls, Discover IT, Barclays, DCU

More info needed

INQ's in the last 12 months

Baddies

 Fico scores

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Finally have a score. Should I apply for a real card?

Right. You can't trust fako scores.

Wait a year and you'll be ready to do an app spree and get several good bank cards all at once. But if you are too impatient, well, you have to wait at least 6 months to even have a real fico score... and even then it won't get you a good starting credit limit...

And if you do get cards at 6 months, you'll be using more HP's trying to get the credit limits increased, etc, etc. It is really better and easier if you can wait a full 12 months.

Re: Finally have a score. Should I apply for a real card?

you will get a score from fakos right away but you won't generate a Fico score until you have had an account for 6 months.

Do not apply for anything until you wait 6 months and sign up for the trial of Score Watch here at Myfico and see a real score generated.

Definitely let new accounts report, INQ's age, and wait about 6 months before you pull the trigger on another app
