Been working off paying off all credit card debt and had about 10% left I just payed off! Chopped up final card and only using them for reoccuring bills and maybe online once and a while. Hoping to see a few point increase.
Congrats! Being CC Debt Free is an awesome feeling.
We are down to one card now that will be paid by then end of the year.
NEVER again for us!
Again, congrats on reaching this goal!

Thanks Ray and congrats for you also. Time to start living within are means
Yep - with the way the markets are these days, I think this is best practice!
Just remember to run something from time to time on each card to avoid a CLD or closing of the account. In my mind, depending on what the markets do, we may see increased activity when it some to CLD / Closing again.

i am pretty much debt free period. it has been this way for about 3 weeks now. its a great feeling too. i have always carried a certain amount of debt now since 2000 that i couldn't entirely pay off. (always running behind somewhat)
And congrats to you too, scottwagnon! Feels good, yes?
(This sounds like the making of a great thread here!)

@ EXCELLENT ! Take yourself out for a nice lunch or something ( Pay cash for the lunch ) to celebrate. Not sure how much your score would increase if you CC debt was @ 10% BUT in my opinion even if your FICO score dropped 10 points it would be worth it to be CC debt free. Again congrats !
