So my usual Sunday of going grocery shopping at Target yesterday happened and since I have 4 Target cards that I try to rotate I took 2 with me yesterday, My bill was just over $200 so I asked the cashier for $100 on the first one, swiped and the 5% came off... Remianing balnce about $95, swiped and 5% comes off again for a total of 10%. I hadn't noticed until the girl said "that was smart, you just got 10% off" I was like really and looked at my receipt and sure enough savings just over $20!!
Thanks Target
Good Thinking!!!!
Its 5% savings only.
You saved 5 % off the first purchase and 5% on the second purhase for a total of 5%
Do you have a government job by chance?

No actually I saved 5% on $200 x 2 = 10%... I know this because tax is 9.75% and my savings was just above my tax total
and no I don't have a government job, why?

lol, I was thinking the same thing in my head as I was reading.
5% on first $100=$5.00
5% on the difference ~$100= ~$5.00
Where the $20 discount came from?

The register gave me 5% off the original total for both cards.
Maybe you should of used all 4 cards and got 40% off

??????
Sorry to get off topic, but I have to know!
How do you have more than 1 card for the same store? Are they all in your name? Are they all store cards...or a 'mix' of store and Visa??
I've just never heard of having more than 1 card for a store. Will all stores let you do this....or is this a "Target' thing?
Maybe I should get 10 BB store card haha. Oh wait, they don't offer discounts lol...
