Oh to add, keep a lookout for future statements to make sure you really don't owe anything. Sometimes there might be residual interests fees

I closed mine out last week too. Ironically my new card came a few days later since the other one expires this month. Now I get to shred two!

thanks everyone, yea i am totally expecting the next statement to cut w/ some balace because i did mess up and put my amazon prime membership on it before i closed it, i didn't pay that off right away and never saw any intrest charges for and it was on there for a week or  and wouldn't be suprised if they tried to hit me w/ an af.due to the changes cutting the following month. i dont know if they really closed it yet because when i log in to their site it still showes as the whole line ava. i called 2x so far and been told thats normal it will be removed from the system in 90 days, but they claim the account is closed and see that i requested it to be closed. so we shall see
