I paid off my fingerhut CC in January and they haven't updated my CR since then, I just pulled a report and it shows last reported 1/10 with the balance.. Can I call them to update or should I just wait?
If you need it updated for some reason such as applying for other credit, then it doesn't hurt to call them. If you don't need the update for anything other than curiosity about your score, then I'd wait it out awhile.
Before the CIT to Metabank change the day my statement ended is the day they updated my reports. this month though, the 3rd has come and gone without any update yet. I would chuck it up to the bank servicing change.
A creditor is never requried to update monthly. They can do it only quarterly. All that is required is that what they report, when they report, is accurate.
