I stumbled on this website earlier this year and began in the rebuilding section with around  500ish. Once I built my scores using the advice from the rebuilders  I headed to the Mortgage section and soaked up all the knowledge in that forum. I closed on my first home on 11/30. Now I am hanging out in the Credit Forum and loving the advice you guys have. So I went on my first app spree. I needed some appliances and furniture for my new house plus I wanted a couple new cards

Here's how it went:

Boa123 VISA CLI to $8500

Citi Forward $6500

Home Depot $5500

Rooms to Go $5200

Discover More $1500

Kohl's $1000

Chase ? had to fax in Driver's License still waiting on decision

I got no love from GE as I was declined for Lowes and WM.

So now I am off to the garden for next 6 months to a year.

I just wanted to say that this website is awesome. I can't remember how I found this site, but when I did I read every single post that I could to help me in my journey to turn around my credit. I am so grateful to all of you guys for the information that you post.

Congrats on the great progress! I'm surprised you got declined for GECRB Lowe's and GECRB Walmart since you got approved for some prime cards.
