i just got that same email, but i was denied for the BCE last month, i don't think this is a targeted offer just a general offering

Both, i'm not sure i would have had the self control to not take it... i am an AU on my dads platinum card but that is my only relationship with AMEX.

i got on his card last month once i was declined for the BCE and since then have ran about 1k through it (its a business card and they were expenses for our family business)

we'll see if i get a better offer from them soon
