Re: First Credit Card

Took everyone's advice and went on a mini mini spree and also app'd for the Amex BCE which was my first choice to begin with. The rewards structure just seems to fit my spending habits better than anything else. Approved for $7,100 credit limit.

I can't even begin to thank everyone for all of the advice. I had no idea what I was doing and everyone took the time to point me in the right direction. Much appreciated.

20k in a couple of apps is a great start and this is the best place to learn how to further develop.

Re: First Credit Card

Yep. As others have stated I would recommend mini spree and get some credit lines started so you can lay the ground work for better AAoA later. Apping for AMEX and a CHASE card. Seems like you could shoot for the moon and try the best ones you want. Try the prequals on both sites, Chase's prequals are golden and you already have over 5k limit so you could try for CSP. I think Amex will really like your history, they seem to be very generous with light files. Discover too. Maybe even Citi double cash if that's your thing.
