Hmmmmmmm ............ maybe I will close my Orchard now.  I only have one thing going on it every month and that is easy to switch over.

And I recently got the Discover so the Avail Cred will be nearly a wash

I am waiting to see,   I may end with a bank I like better.

+1

Is there any way the CC business could get worse?

Well, they could sell their cc portfolio to First Premier Bank...

Sadly, that was the one bank that I thought of that could be worse. However, they wouldn't want any part of at least a portion of the HSBC's portfolio -- the prime customers (they're out there -- people like me).

It would not suprise me if the CC business gets split up and sold seperately.   Some buyers may want the HSBC, Neiman Marcus, Saks accounts.   Others may want he Orchard, Household, BB accounts.   Or other splits.

Maybe Amex will buy the Orchard portfolio. xD

It looks like First Niagara Bank is the front runner to acquire HSBC
