No annual fee, 2% cash back on gas and groceries, and 1% on everything else. The pre approval came in a fancy black envelope and made a point of stating that this card is available by invitation only and blah blah. Anyone else get this? I'm not applying because I just got my Discover and I've opened enough new accounts this year. I'm planning on going car shopping at the end of this year or beginning of next and don't want any more INQs.

I've gotten that invite too.
I didn't go for it because I already have a card from FNBO and I have enough cash back cards, and the FNBO Amex rewars aren't anything special. I like my plain jane FNBO Platinum Edition Visa, with high CL, low APR, and no rewards.

I agree. The rewards were just kind of "mehh" to me too. I already have my BCE that beats those categories anyways. I just thought it was funny how they say you're pre approved and make a big deal out of it being "invite only" like they didn't just send out thousands of the same letters.

I received the same pre-approval offer yesterday, and I promptly threw it in the trash...not enticing enough to lure me out ot the garden.

I received the same "exclusive" offer. I don't need it, as I already have a good cash rewards card in my line up. And after adding four new cards last month, I'm in no mood to wack away any further on my AAoA. No, at this point, I'm firmly planted in the garden.

Received the same offer along with the Discover. Nothing special about it, but then again, it might fit someone's spending/shopping habits with the 2% for gas and groceries. I believe that's all the time, and 1% elsewhere. Already have the Bucksback Visa, so far no problems with FNBO.

Interesting. My fnbo Amex offer came with a 9.9% apr for life. yeah, the rewards were nothing special, but I thought the apr was the pitch. Honestly, if it had been a visa instead of Amex, I would have bit. Too many of the places where I might need to carry a balance don't take Amex.

They pull EX. Every application gets manually reviewed so don't be surprised when you get a 7-10 day message.
