Re: First National Bank of Omaha

Hey Shogun!
My bro got the pre-approval offer to. Had a relatively high utility and still approved for a pretty decent limit. I've read on here that they are a conservative lender but all my research points otherwise if you are pre-approved. Hard apping might net you a different result but my advice- if you are looking for another TL- FNBO is a good credit card company. SPs for CLIs every 6 months- high CLs if you have a good FICO plus they grow- rewards not so great but still useful. Hope this helps.

Re: First National Bank of Omaha

it's a decent emergency trade line to keep around. definitely not too hard to get, but the company itself is one of the better mid-tier lenders. I would get it if i didn't have two high limit, low apr trade lines from my credit unions.

Was your offer for the FNBO American Express?

I got one of those in the mail yesterday, comes with a reference number.  0% on BTs until July 2014. BT fee of $10.

I didn't realize that it was NPSL.

Mine states that the rewards are 2% on gas and groceries...  Not bad IMHO

Yes, it was their AMEX version.  I'm just not that knowledgable about FNBO.

Re: First National Bank of Omaha

I have had their Visa for a year now. Reputable lender with Nebraska based customer service. They hand approve all the applications, so it takes a week or so before you will know if you are approved, but that is the norm. Basic card with simple reward structure. I also received that offer. It looked like a nice basic bank based Amex card, with 2% rewards on groceries and gas I think. On the Visa I was approved for $7500 and I used it for 0% BT offer. They auto CLI'd me after about 6 months to $8150. All in all a fine basic bank card with good customer service.

Goal Score: 750+, but shooting for the 800's

Re: First National Bank of Omaha

Is the AMEX a revolving credit line or pay in full?

Re: First National Bank of Omaha

I got the offer for the Amex offer last year and applied for it even though I had read they are very conservative. I was approved within a few days for my highest limit at the time. I have nothing but good things to say about FNBO. Their customer service is top notch and I like the way they do cli's. I had called to inquire about a cli after about 3 months of having the card. The csr told me that you can call in periodically and ask if you are eligible for one and if so, they will tell you how much and you just approve that you want it. No pulls on your credit because they have already preapproved it. I called back a few months later and I had one sitting out there. My limit went from 3500.00 to 6000.00.

@GreyFox, it is a revolving account
