So I work in retail, and I was ringing out a customer, and they whipped out a FP MC and I just flinched internally...lol. Worst part is, that one didn't go through as it was chip and pin and she hadn't set up the pin yet, so she goes back into her wallet and pulls out *another* FP card with no chip and proceeds to pay with that one instead. I think I died a little inside...
Anyway the main point of my thread is that it was truly a chip and pin card, because when she first inserted the card, after confirming the purchase amount it proceeded to ask for a pin rather than a signature. I was genuinely surprised. I know there have been a couple of threads about this already, but I don't think any of them verified that FP was "true" chip and pin. Well I can confirm it is. Lol.
Uh 2 FP cards? Yikes.
They don't make you set one up immediately after activating the card nor do they mail one separate from the card? Interesting.
Chip and PIN on a First Premier is like putting spinning rims on a Ford Escort.
