I finally called to close my First Premier account today. When I reached the account retention specialist, he informed me that ACCORDING TO MYFICO.COM, AAoA can account for up to 50% of my FICO score & closing an old account can significantly impact that. OH NO! Of course he neglected to tell me that any closed account in good standing would stay on my credit report for 10 years. Needless to say, I told him to go ahead and close the account Smiley Very Happy

I see that they convienently did not mention the many posts in the MyFICO forums that point out what a terrible, predatory lender they are.

+1
CC companies like First Premier are 75% of the reasons I don't like credit card companies like First Premier. The other 25% I'm going to withhold from them. TOS being what it is.

They also offered me a CLI of $150 for a $37 fee (and a HP, no doubt).
