Every 6 months I call up to cancel the card, and twice already they got me to stay by offering to take care of the monthly fee and giving me a token CLI for free.

Have they waived the annual fee too?
My card does not have an AF, just monthly fees. Not sure why, I know most people have AF as well as monthly fee.
Ah well, if no fees at all then at least you get to keep the age of the account for free.
I trust FP about as far as I can toss a freight train.
Did you verify that your card in fact has no af?

Keep paying on time.. and keep calling every month asking to cancel.. they WILL DO ANYTHING to keep you a "Valued First Premier Customer"

I could go on. It was so obvious she was reading some blurb on the screen. I just kept saying close my account until she offered to cover the monthly fees for 6 months. So at the end of August, I will call again to cancel my account. If they don't try to bribe me again, I will finally be rid of this green menace.

ROFL. Oh since my other cards only report 36 times I guess they don't love me as much. ROFL. You should call back today and break it off!
