Hi!
For those of you with the BofA 99/500 secured card, how did you get tha offer? Did you apply for a regular credit card and was given the 99/500 offer? Or did you only apply for a secured card?
Thanks!

Sounds about right.

From most of the post I have read about the 99/500, it was after applying for regular card, was a counter offer
Hope this helps
Got Countered after applying for regular 123 card
I applied for a visa card and was denied. A couple of months later, I got the invite for the 99/500. I got it last August and it unsecured at 9 months and I got a cli to 2000.00.
I applied for it July 19th 2012 online, and I applied directly for the secured card. It was my first credit card anyways, so no point in trying for an actual rewards card when I essentially had a score of 0.
My mom applied for the BofA cash rewards card 2 months ago, and they countered with the 99/500 card, but she gets rewards on that card.
BofA unsecured my card about 6 months ago. My mom still has the secured. I got a CLI today with them because I asked for it.
Thanks everyone! The banker recommended that I apply for a standard card and that if it was denied, there was a possibility that I could receive the 99/500 offer.
