For those wo have AMEX charge cards

I'm confused with the limit reporting. It his high balance of the card. I just bought a very expensive item on my Amex Gold. Do I have to wait for the actual statement date to have high balance reported or I can PIF right after the balance appears on my card and it will still get reported?

Unfortunately, AmEx only posts the high statement balance. All the other cards use the highest balance that you had at some point during the billing cycle.

My now-closed Gold card still shows $70 as my highest balance, although at one point, I had several thousand dollars on it. Maddening.
