I have found out that you can get lasik under $500 an eye pretty easily, so long as you arent above +3.00 or worse than -3.00

The price doesnt always include aftercare but its usually not that expensive. Plus, you can do the aftercare at a dr closer to home.

Only bad thing is worsened night vision for 6 months.

Yeah, no, I wish it would be that cheap for me. I'm going to need to see a specialist for a couple of reasons. One, my corneas are thin. Two, I have a strong prescription in both eyes. I have finally gotten a referral to an eye surgeon who is able work with patients like me so it might be time.

I called a CSR and asked, because the terms in the agreement are a little confusing when it comes to multiple purchases. The statement is not much help either. My statement says the min. payment is $33 on my nearly $1k bill, but I know I need to pay $150 plus $86. I think it's probably ok to pay the $33 plus $86, but that just makes it harder for the following months.

My dog didn't make it. His tests were looking good, and he seemed perfectly normal, up until an hour before he died, playing ball and chasing squirrels that morning. I feel better about spending the money,  because I believe the medications gave him a couple of good quality of life weeks.

My goodness, I am so, so sorry for your loss.  I was reading this thread because I just got a carecredit account myself (stupid me didn't know about the under 10% utilization rule; I'm certain I could have qualified for 25K or more!) because I'm taking on my sister's cat who nearly died after a urinary blockage multiple blockages in a month. I lost a kitty in 2012 who also had a good quality of life until almost the very end; she had to be fed by esophageal tube, but she hunted and killed a gecko that got into our house just days before she died.  I'm glad you had that experience too, but again, I wanted to send you my sincere condolences.  Thank you for sharing your experience.

Duly noted and filed away for later.  Thank you for sharing that information, because my eyes are more than twice as bad as that! Cat LOL
