BTW, Founderscard is not a credit card. It is strictly a perks only card. VIP access, Discounts etc.... the annual fee next year is going up to 595 also so keep that in mind when applying

That AF increase definitely makes this more unattractive to me.....

Re: FoundersCard The New Black Card?

FWIW it was 609 dollars with the initiation fee. But the perks alone I feel I will make that up in no time flat, the hotel and rental car deals alone seem worth while, and the events can always put you in touch with people in your company field and the profits from that are unlimited. You never know who you meet.

Re: FoundersCard The New Black Card?

I just don't like how the site doesn't really tell you the value of these discounts you will receive. it says discounts on the best hotels around the world. ok......soooo 100 dollars off? 1000 off? compared to normal people who book the trip. idk.....
CHASE FREEDOM | AMEX BCE | | BOFA REWARDS | CITI TYP | Quicksilver | DISCOVER IT | Sallie Mae | CHASE CSP
--------$32,000-------------$30,000-----------$30,000-----------$30,000-----$13,000---------$18,200----------$15,000---------$6,500----

Re: FoundersCard The New Black Card?

The other perk which is worth something is some decent discounts on Apple hardware (you need to be buying for a business, but you get a similar discount to the education one).

Does not apply to iPhone, iPad or iMac though. Kind of lame in that regard.

The hotel rates are comparable to Expedia or whatever, but you get a one level upgrade and late checkout, etc. if you already have status there's not much point to that.

Re: FoundersCard The New Black Card?

The business tools are the reason I did it. I got 32% UPS discount, Year free of Phone.com service, and 9 months free of uber confrence. about 300 bucks so far.

Re: FoundersCard The New Black Card?

For anyone actually considering this, here is a code to get it for $395:

"Use my VIP Promo Code FCSPX13 for an annual rate of $395 (over 30% off the standard rate of $595), valid through December 17, 2013."

This is not a personal promo code and doesn't get me anything. I just don't want anyone else paying $609 for this.
