Old news.
Not old news to me, thanks.
If I'm understanding right, the two big changes are 1) removal of 10% annual bonus (I've had the card for years, never knew about this, so I'll survive) and 2) no more bonus for booking travel through UR. #2 If someone has a CSP, they can still transfer and get that, right? (As that was something I was starting to consider.)
Maybe they'll bump the signing bonus more this fall in anticipation of these changes.
Perhaps it is old news, however so is the AMEX 3X CLI, and questions still abound to try to clarify situations. Also questions about how to avoid interest charges, whether to carry a balance, clarification of features on various cards...
Nothing wrong with posting a specific reference to clarify information.
I am hopeful that the 10-points-per-swipe feature and 10% points per swipe with Chase checking are remaining, but will have to see how the card posts in 2016.

Exactly. There are 3-5 threads about Amex 3x on a daily basis it seems!
This news is not brand new but eh, it's still nice to see a different thread!
I didn't know about it either so thanks for posting..
Being a relatively new Freedom card holder, I was not aware of these changes. Thanks for posting.

The 2014/08 in the URL is a clue.
