So here is the thing. The next quarter has restaurants as bonus spend. If I use the freedom card tomorrow for lunch the charge will not clear until the next quarter. Will I get the bonus points based on when the charge clears or will I only got 1 point per dollar based on the actual transaction date even though it clears the following quarter?

Most of my dining charges I put through my CSP on "first friday" doesn't clear until a day or two later but I still get credit for swiping the card that day.
I think there were two times where the merchant lagged and didn't charge my card or something else happened that pushed it into the next day, and I lost my 3 points vs 2 points.
So for tomorrow, if I had to guess, I imagine it's still CSP over Freedom. If anything, just send chase a SM and see what happens. Thinking back, I should have done it for mine. Oh well, next time.

Good point on the CSP friday spend.
i remmber i called about about this before, they said it goes by POST date, so you would get freedom bonus, but in fact when i charge gas on my freedom card at end of bonus quarter, it always gives me points even it POST at the beginning of the next month, so i am not totally sure.
if points is missing either way a quick SM will solve this, chase CS is excellent!
