Seems like every week I get another Freedom and Slate application. I know these are not pre-approvals but, does the frequency of them mean anything???? Seriously, every week with these things.

Frequency doesn't really translate into anything special other than targeted offers/invitations to apply. Discover, AMEX, Citi are also known to overflow mailboxes...

have you checked the pre-qual offers on chase.com?
Not sure why they're not pre-approvals??? The CHASE site says I'm "qualified" or whatever for the same two cards that they are spamming me with. Nothing is 100% but, I'd be inclined to app for the Freedom if I knew it was worth it. Perhaps more time in the garden is what I need :-)

I have found thr offers off chase.com to be very accurate for approvals
