What happened? I'm guessing Identify Theft, how did it happen etc? I'm guessing you already notified the credit bureaus, credit card providers, authorities etc..

 

I'm so sorry to hear that..Has to be very hard!!

Can you provide your new social to your current creditors so that your info that is accurate gets put into the new file?

yea i can but some of them have lates on them so should i just start over? my credit file is only a year deep?

I'm not sure. You can start fresh and it probably wouldn't hurt. You can close all current accounts and open a new card to get you going again.

i already got a plan to start over though picked up a bunch of applications. going to get secured cards listed below

 

USAA- $5000

Wells Fargo- $10000

US Bank- $5000

Capital One -$3000

Bank Of America- $4900

Applied Bank-$5000

right but most of the time secured cards are approved plus im pulling my 25,000 chase auto loan over from my other social that has been open since december
