Well, today was the day that I finally hit six months on my Citi Dividend World Mastercard...I couldn't wait to hit the love button, as I was confident that they would raise my limit. I filled out all of the pertinent information, but to my surprise, right before submitting the application, I was informed that I may incur a hard pull - however, I wasn't concerned because I have security freezes on all of my bureau reports. But to my dismay, my transunion report was in fact pulled despite the freeze. As you can imagine, I was very angry...I mean spit flying angry. And to make matters worst, Citi declined my request
...I had planned on gardening until next month, at which point I had planned on applying for a CSP and a USAA World MC.
Angry about the pull, and more so because of my impatience (I should have cancelled when informed about the hard pull), I decided what the heck...I've already been dinged, I may as well go ahead and apply for the two cards that I was gardening for. So I lifted my freezes and applied for the CSP first, and....instantly approved for a $12,500 cl
...next came USAA World MC, and....instantly approved for $5000 cl
...order has been restored, and I will be happily gardening until 2014...Thanks myFico! I am so much more educated because of you...

Thank you! It's been a long journey...When I started rebuilding in 2007, my credit scores were 528, 551 and 549. Still kind of surreal to now be able to get instant approvals...

WOW, Congrats Searching! That's great especially since you've been working on your credit for so long. I had a similar story (and scores). I started rebuilding in 2008 and got really serious about it last fall. I've still got my rebuilder cards, but I hope to ditch those either at the end of this month once I close on my house or this summer.
