I had emailed customer service about 4-5 days ago about product changing my amazon rewards visa that I opened in March to a Freedom mastercard. I also have a Freedom Visa that I opened in June. I just logged on to see my Amazon Visa and two Freeom cards with the same balance and credit limit. I think they product changed the wrong card. Does this mean I now have three cards that will hit my credit report. All I wanted was one Freedom Visa and one Freedom Mastercard. I knew I should have just apped for the mastercard version. Has anyone ever dealt with this?
I believe previously chase would not allow you to PC to the amazon or the PC the amazon to something else, but i think they would let you move credit limits on Amazon cards. From what your saying you now have two freedoms at 6K (or mybe they split it down to 3K each) and a chase amazon with 1600?
It lists two freedoms with the same $918 balance and the same $6000 limit. So it is like I am in double the debt. Then I have the amazon visa with a 0 balance and $1600 limit. I had asked before but they said no but this time they said they would forward it to the right person. However, I am seeing this now. I don't know what to think.
Just called Chase and they could not PC the Amazon Visa and decided to PC the Freedom Visa to the Mastercard version. He said it was a mirror image and would not report as a new account and the visa will not appear closed on my credit reports..we will see. I sure hope he knows what he is talking about. I guess I am no worse off. He did tell me that I would NOT be allowed to apply for a Freedom Visa (to have both versions) but recommened the Sapphire.

He is correct. Amazon Visa cannot be PCed. He is also correct that you will have mirror image on your Freedom MasterCard for about 2-3 statements.

I assume you have dealt with this before. Will only one freedom report on my credit reports? That is my biggest concern.

Only one Freedom card will be on your reports. The only thing that will be changing is the account number. You will retain payment history and original opening date.
