At least for the time being, whether or not they are frozen has absolutely no bearing on lender approval.  There are certain lenders who pull ARS/IDA who will still approve with those reports frozen.

In many cases, it does matter. There's good evidence of people being denied by US Bank based solely on ARS/IDA because they have a longer memory than the Big 3 CRAs. That's why churners go through the trouble of freezing their reports. There is no harm in freezing your reports, as banks simply default to TU/EX/EQ to make a decision.
