i have a GE backed American Eagle card that i got in decemer, i have recieved to small CLI to date which is still pretty cool. i really need to start improving my current CL so i can breed higher limit prime cards. i was wondering if anyone knew just about how high i could get this card to go? i know i can request CLI every 4months so im hoping it will grow rather quickly. i also seen where a poster stated that with GE cards you could actually start getting CLI every two months by calling an talking to a Credit Analyst, does anyone know if this is true also?

With regard to the actual "value" of the card, my friend has the same one with a $12,000 limit. Yes, it is true that you can request a CLI every 4 months. GE is pretty good with increases. Just treat the card well and PIF each month; they like to see that you are using the card regularly

and god. 12k worth of clothes from ae would be hard to achieve.....

I had one with a measly 124 limit.   Paid one late.  A year later, did a CLI LUV button, and increased to 125. lol

A year later, did a CLI via phone Soft pull,  increased to 400.  I have never ever used this card every since I got it so this might be the reason I don't get any increases.

when i applied i only got store card but with a 400 limit. 

the person at the counter was like thats really good. 

i just had to laugh to myself. 

i know its not much but its whatever. 

i spent somewhere around 800 dollars there last year. 

from what i read its a soft pull anyway  

in a few months when all this new credit is older ill hit the luv button.

opened aeo card one year ago $210.00 cl messed around evry 4 months got it up to $700.00

called ask to speak to under writting ask for $2000.00 was approved it was as always soft pull

every months months you can call underwritting ask for increase,I always order on line but i went

aeo store bought  $200.00 worth of clothes cashier said congrats,you have been approved for upgrade to visa

so i accepted put my s s # for to verify got a hard inq approved for visa with $5000.00 now i have 2 aeo credit cards

but im going to close the store card the cashier applied for visa instead of taking the upgrade he messed up so i was told

but i guess inq is worth $5000.00 credit card

thats an awesome CL. Congrats! How many months were u saying i could call underwriting?
