i always get denied when I call the underwriter.... but for some odd reason last week, I called again for my walmart and chevron.... walmart increased from $900 ---> $2000 and chevron went from $700 ---->$1700... I opened both cards at the same time in May ... both auto increased last August.....walmart $500 -->$900 and chevron $400-->$700
..... I only PIF once (my first statement)... and Ive kept 10%-25% balance since....
.... i have 3 charged offs ...1 from almost 5 yrs ago (unpaid) and 2 from 6+ yrs ago (1 unpaid, 1 paid) ....1 collection from 6+ yrs ago (unpaid)..incluing 11 inquiries in the past 2 yrs

OP I have had GE accounts for a couple years now. from what I have seen personally on my accounts is that when util is high they wont budge. now if you call underwriters and talk to a decision maker (not a button pusher) you may have some luck. Last year my util was like above 50%. I have since paid off all my debt and only have 1000 balance on my sams discover right now... 2 weeks ago I got a total of almost 2k luv from GECRB. they like low util! keep us updated!

I know less than 10% is preferred but, from experience, how are they when your hanging in the 15-25% range? And also, total utilization or... % of utilization of their CL?
My Walmart limit is $600. I made some purchases last month so a balance of $533. was posted when the statement closed. I plan to have a $0. - $50. balance on that card when I contact them for an increase after my 4th statement closes in mid Dec. And of my 8 credit lines, probably only two will have balances. Most likely in the 20-25% range. I'll be trying for increases on other accounts that I opened in Aug too. Those accounts will also be in the $0. to $50. range.
My Wallet - Barclay's - $3700. Target - $3000. Cap 1 - $2500. Merrick - $1000. Orchard - $950. Walmart - $700. JCP - $200.
