I often hear about GE offering decent CLIs at regular intervals. I am interested in hearing from the GE backed CC holders on what their initial CL was at approval and where they are at now. You can model the response however you would like or using a model similar to the Auto Loan Approvals thread.

This is a prime example of what I have been hearing a lot lately. I believe stories like this could really help the folks beginning their credit journey. Thank you for sharing.

Comments: Approved with only an authorized user card from 2006 and potentially an Orchard secured card, if it was reporting. First two CLIs were autos, but after over a year of no CLI, I began requesting them every 4 months per the boards. My CL is set at $7500 and that seems to be the max they can go at this time through the automated system. Have not tried the backdoor GE CLI number.
I had a bunch of GE cards that I actually let go... I settled them all last year and in late dec./jan. to my surprise was approved a 76 Gas Card for $300 (TU 610 I believe)
this month on my 3rd statment I received an auto cli to $650 (TU around 640-660 I think at time of increase)
Card: TJX
Date Approved: 6/27/2013

FICO Score at approval: 620ish
Date of CLI: 3/5/14

Comments: 2nd CLI, started off w/ $200 back in June 2013. First auto CLI after 4th statement- $200 to $850. 2nd CLI was not auto, but after another 4th statement from 1st CLI date. 95% PIF- usually charge small amounts ($50~150) each month, but left small amount a few months.

Did you get rid of the cards because of GE or because you didnt want them anymore?

I wasn't getting any love from Capital One on a CS card even though it had heavy use and a great payment history. I used the +$4k in GECRB credit over the past 3 months to get a PC to QS, +$1250 CLI, and 4.2% interest rate reduction with the EO using a SP. I'm sure the +60 point score helped, too. Hopefully I'm out of the subprime bucket with them now.
