My Walmart Discover upgrade took 4 years.

I got my Wmt Discvr upgrade after two full years.
However, I NEVER paid late, consistently asked for CLIs. Started at $800 May 2010.. Got to $2,400 w the store, then May 2012 upgraded to Discover with $2500 limit. Scores were around 640, but 676 according to a GECRB SP in April.
Then like last week, I called them and got a CLI from $2500 to $5000!
Same time frame/pmt history to get my BR Visa, which now has a $7k limit.
Orginally, my BR card had a measly $400 limit, then went to $700, then $900, then $1400, then $2k, then $3k when it got upgraded and last week, I got 'er up to $7,000!! Yayuh! These cards DO upgrade. Stay patient and ALWAYS pay on time no matter what!

That's phenomenal, way to go! I'll cross my fingers that my cards grow as well as yours did!

The Chevron/Texaco does not seem to upgrade, ever.  It might have years ago, but the CSR's I have called on three different occasions have indicated no path to upgrade, must be a new app.  Read the horror stories on the forum about people trying to do just what the CSR's recommended and ending up with 2 store cards accounts.  Very frustrating.

Baron- I was beginning to wonder if it would! Meh, it's weird that I had the BR Visa when I apped for my Chevron and still got just the storw card :-/

Yeah, I applied for the Dillard's Amex, since I already have the Dillard's store card per a CSR, and wound up with a denied App and HP "application already approved" ...still baffled by that one!!
I'd rather sit it out then waste a hard pull!!

On another note, at least my Chevron limit is at $1,500!

I've had my WM store card for 9 months with a 1,500CL. Anyone ever get the upgrade offer before the yearmark?

I'd work on getting that CL over 2k LS, then maybe you can get an upgrade...
