I applied for a rooms to go credit card. Instant approval for $1500, but I asked for 4,000. Is it possible to recon for higher?? $1500 won't buy much...

Congrats

Can't hurt to try

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: GE recon? Rooms to go?

Maybe I did it wrong? They transferred me to the department for cli. Is that the same as a recon?

Sorry for the denied CLI. Were you transferred to an analyst?

Re: GE recon? Rooms to go?

I don't think it was an analyst, thought I could be wrong. I told the rep I had just gotten an approval, but needed a higher limit. She asked my income and amount I wanted, put me on hold, then came back with a denial and said I'd get a letter in the mail.

Re: GE recon? Rooms to go?

You could try again but it sounds like you might have to live with the initial cl.

Re: GE recon? Rooms to go?

Guess so. Such a bummer! We have the cash for what we need, but it would have been nice to put it on an interest free card and keep our cash in the savings account.

Any advice on how to get a cli quickly? Use it monthly...let it sit....what?
