I have a wal-mart card with a $2350 limit and a Sam's card with a $5800 limit. I see no reason to have both and I am interested in having higher limits on all my cards. It seems that higher limits on some cards entices other companies to follow along. So, I was thiking about asking GE if they would combine the limits of these two cards and give me $8150 on my Wal-Mart card, then close the Sam's club card.
Does this make sense?
Are there any FICO score issues that I should be aware of before doing this?
Will GE honor such a request?
Who at GE should I talk to?
Thanks!
