Before I attempt to re-enter the Garden for the 3rd time, I'd like some advice as to which card is better in terms of limits and room for growth. Also, will the fact that I was just approved for a Lowes Card ($8.6k) have any bearing at all as it relates to my possible approval with Gap...since they're both under the same bank?
AFAIK, you apply for the Gap Visa but are considered for the Gap PLCC if you don't qualify for the Visa version. Both are issued by Synchrony and are capable of very good CLIs. Since your TU scores are >700, your odds of approval for the Visa version are good.
Wow. So I called Recon number after being approved for a measly $400 and was told that my account doesn't qualify for a CLI and that I would recieve something in the mail, explaining the decision. Guess I'll just have to utilize the card and PIF or the next 90 days then try my hand again. Question, does Synchrony HP for CLI's after 90 days?

CLIs will always be SP for your Gap Card. I'm a bit suprised that they only approved you for $400, unless that is just a temporary CL. You may want to try calling into Credit Solutions once you get the card.
Yeah, that sucks. I was surprised too. You give me $8,600 on the Lowe's card and only give me $400 on the GAP. I'll definitely be calling to RECON after I recieve the card although I'm sure the limit will grow naturally since I already spend nearly $400 per month there. I'll keep you updated and thanks for all the info.
You're abosolutely right! After carefully reading the approval message, it did state that "Your temporary credit limit is: $ 400.00". Does this meant that it will change once I get it or will I still have to call in for a RECON?

YB - I don't get the whole GAP card looking at your signature line. Minus the AU / store accounts you have some hefty and quality cards in place.
PF - 15K
PF - 5.5K
PF LOC - 5K
Amex - 2K
Barclay - 1.5K
Chase - 1.5K
Cap1 - $200
Discover - $400
Navy - 5K
NavCheck - 15K
The string of store cards though served a purpose at some point but, it's time to grow your garden and let things mature. You're on your way already with some growers and seedlings with the couple of secured lines that will grow exceptionally once they release the deposits.
