Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Been throwing my app frustration on finishing up an amortization spreadsheet that will show you the impact of paying weekly/biweekly/monthly, along with adding in extra payments. It's rough, but looks good. Looking forward to sharing it. (mine is for auto loans, shows you how daily interest is compounded)

Starting my rebuild!

Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Howdy howdy boys and girls.  I'm still here.

Wifey and I are still in the garden, but starting to make some firmer plans for the immediate future anyway.

I am still app free since last August, and plan to stay in the garden until it's August again.

DW cheated and open two accounts last December, but after some um... "firm conversation" has been behaving herself and will be in the garden until June, methinks.

Onward and upward!

Fico 9: EX 756 03/13/24, EQ 790 02/04/24, TU No idea.

Zero percent financing is where the devil lives...

Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Just got my BCP card in the mail today and it included my EX score.

734.

Oh yeah. Now I see why everyone gardens. That score was with me gardening for about 16 months between inquries but it also included a high CC ultization (>80%). Can't wait to see what happend when I get that ultization down to 0 and I continue to stay in the garden. I'm really excited for this PIF every month that everyone talks about. One day, my finances will let me do that!

Starting Score: MyFico EQ 694 (3/2013)
Current Score: MyFico EQ 707 (4/1/2013), EX 734 (4/12/2013 - AMEX pull)
Goal Score: 740+, gardening since: 5/17/13

Congrats on picking up your spade! When you find some miracle grow...can you share some with me? 😔

Indeed.  And you share your coffee with me.  Unless I am the only one awake at actual 4 in the morning.

If I'm awake at 4am, it's because I've had insomnia and haven't gone to sleep yet. Smiley Wink

Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Filed 7 last July 2012, discharged in Nov 2012, and I've picked up 2 cards since then.  I'm in the garden until the holiday season officially.

@Default4

Sounds like you have planned your spree carefully. I know what you mean about people thinking you are nuts. I am constantly commenting on CLI's, SP's vs HP's and my DH just shakes his head.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Hello, fellow gardeners!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be away from the forums for a couple of days. My DH and I are driving up to Orlando for an event on the campus of my alma mater. We'll be back late Friday, so I may not be around for the weekly party. Not to worry, of course, as the bar and buffet are in the very capable hands of myjourney. I'm certain that everyone will have an enjoyable time socializing.

Also, I'm leaving the keys to the clubhouse in the hands of our GC member and newest moderator, webhopper. We're fortunate in that we have a thread wherein all participants do an excellent job of living up to this forum's ideals of being friendly, supportive and respectful, but she'll be here to address any issues if they do come up.

And so enjoy the clubhouse facilities, and as always remember to party responsibly. The advice that we give out here can have real world implications, so even though we boast a fully stocked bar, we in no way condone "drapping." Instead, we're here to support each other as we manage our credit gardens with good care and forethought. And so may the next couple of days be filled with joy and encouragement, and I look forward to seeing everyone again by the weekend. Cheers!
