Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Hi Everyone

Started my 5th month on the 27th of march, can't wait to get my gold spad in a couple of months. Working real hard at decreasing utilization. Firing LL. They have done nothing for me in 6 months. Though I would give them a try, and like so many others, no help.

Anyhow, I will continue to rebuild my credit one day at a time. Sometimes only time will help, have some baddies that will fall off this year. Score can only go up from here.

Happy Easter :smileyhappy:

Best wishes to all others that are pursuing their credit dreams.

I think you get a pass for housing and the associated utilities when its not a mortgage. Tinuviel or one of the long timers will be along to answer for sure soon.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

Looking forward to belatedly picking up my bronze spade on the 13th (after falling out of the garden last month the very day I earned it).

Hoping to be HP free until March of 2014.

Going to be drinking a lot of Mai Tais and munching a lot of shrimp cocktail at the garden party until then!

Quick question.

I won't leave the garden if my credit gets pulled for an apt rental right?

Nope - you will still be right here.  :smileyhappy:

There was some discussion about this a while back, and it was understood that some things are simply unavoidable (i.e. HP for rentals, utilities, etc.).  The key driver for HPs that count against gardening are those that would establish a new trade line, or a HP to increase an existing CL, etc.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - April 2013

I'm in...

Here again after two successful 6 month stints in the garden: 12/12 - 5/12 (really started me off well by adding a couple of higher limit accounts that decreased my utilization and got me rolling), and the most recent 6 month round from 9/12 - 3/12 (stepping out this time was precipitated by a "preapproval gone wild" for a mortgage, so I took 2 deliberate HPs for PenFed and a CLI on my BoA and got great results from those).  I'm proof positive that gardening works.

I'm really in indefinitely now.  I got my coveted PenFed card, and since my job situation is in limbo (i.e. where I'll be working) I have put off even considering a mortgage for the forseeable future.  I will have two HPs dropping off EX in April so this is a good month to resume gardening.

Oh yes, almost forgot to mention that I finish grad school this month and will soon be starting my new (better paying?) career - yeah me!   :smileyvery-happy:
