I was a good gardener for 6 months (April -Nov10). I was on a mission to improve scores to access prime CC and homeownership by paying off all my debts - 3 Tax Liens, Chargeoff, 2 collections;and $1600 in active CC before the holidays. Mission nearly accomplished- I only owe JCP $122. Scores had improved over 110 pts in that time across the board. So I took the plunge and dove in apping 5 times in November. SUCCESS!!!! 2 Barclay cards, Walmart and CU Mastercard (BOA turned me down). I'm done until at least June when I hope to have broke 750 score and nailed down a mortgage. Happy Holidays to all and good gardening!

im really getting the itch! i really want that 5k card!
its not an inq but it is a new tradeline.
ill be calling the employee line to see if i can merge 3 lines into one to make it a 7500 card. and if they do i might just do it.
History
07/12 got employee card-500 limit
08/12 got pre approval for 2k took it. (no hard pull)
12/12 pre approval for 5k.... (no hard pull here ethier )....
this is harder then it should be!
im happy with the zync i can always wait till next jan to app for bce and true earnings....
someone please guide me towards or away. i cant decide

I'm still here.
Frankly, I'm getting to the point where I'm not sure I'm making much progress...I'll go start a new thread and get some thoughts...
Meanwhile, no apps for me, and no real itchiness...the itch really DOES fade with a little self restraint at first. ![]()

I'm still in the garden, going strong. No apps and no soft CLIs either this month. The big news for me is that I was able to find a new job, so I rewarded myself with a sweet new Gibson Les Paul electric guitar. I've been scrimping and saving for so long that it was nice to splurge on something fun. :-)

Would have received my gold spade on Friday, but after speaking to several people they all stated to maximize my score I need 3 revolving credit cards. So I applied for Barclay who denied me in June 2012 because of no revolving credit and now six months later I was approved
Will stay in garden until June 2013. I am loving this 6 month gardening.

I have learned that UTIL=Benadry. My scores have officially tanked nearly 100 points thanks to the new INQs, reduced AAoA, but mostly UTIL. I know they will rebound as I get them paid back down again over the next few months, so there is 0 itchiness for me right now.
