@Anonymous wrote:tony,,, was this 61 days from when u apped? or activated the card?
It was 61 days on an odd date. It wasn't when I apped and it wasn't when I activated. I apped and was approved on 12/20, I activated on 12/30. The day they used to calculate by 61st day was 12/24/2011. I confirmed the date with a customer service rep before I tried. I am guessing that's the day when they actually set up my account in their system.
try back in a week,, they did the same thing to me,,, told me my date was the 14th but it was a few days off
Oh ok. I will look into that. I think I have to wait 90 days though, right?
i hit the cli everyday for 2 weeks and finaly got 3x cli
LS2982: Good luck on your budget - some strategic planning can keep your scores from dropping! If not then look at the bright side of things, you got a CLI recently and you arent planning on app'ing for a few months.

Whoa! I don't know if I would go that far! But congrats on the CLI though!

Ah ok...well we shall see what happens and thank you! Either way, gardening mode rocks!
@Anonymous wrote:Well I stepped out of the Garden to app for my 4th AmEx backdated to 91, it was a strategic move, I did not need the extra credit line, but I apped for the AmEx Hilton HH Honors card and was approved.
I now have 84 years of history with AmEx alone
IMO, the HP on EX was well worth the 21 year old AmEx TL that will be listed on my reports within the next 60 days and the boost to my AAoA's which are already pretty high.
But, I'm in the Garden to stay now, my next app will be for a mortgage sometime in the next two years.
CONGRATZ! That is very AWESOME & I'm so happy that it worked out for you
@Anonymous wrote:I applied for two cards this month, first applications since Sep. 2010. I'm now "gardening" for at least one year, probably a lot longer. I think I'd like a Sapphire card, but I'm in no rush and I want to get a feel for Chase with my new Freedom.
Congratz! & enjoy your new Freedom!
