Re: Garden Club Meeting - February 2013

5 mos app free for me. I finally closed my AMEX PRG after much deliberation, decided I was not making enough use of it to justify $175 AF. No apps in the forseeable future, and will make my 6 mos app free at minimum before any new apps. Happy gardening everyone!

Re: Garden Club Meeting - February 2013

Hanging head in shame...have to drop back to seedling level.  Don't know why I did it, exactly, but I decided on a whim to app for the Slate for the 0%BT. I have some $$$ still tied up in my last rental house before I became a homeowner (it's involving legal proceedings now), so I have a bit left on my Amazon card I wanted to BT.  Denied.  I called to recon and was told they could change my Amazon Chase to the Slate, but I said no thank you as I really like the rewards structure (we shop on Amazon a LOT).  The reason was DTI.  Weird thing, though, she said they pulled EQ for the first one, but it was not a complete report, only had 22 months of credit showing, so asked my permission to pull a different CRA. I said yes, and she said she pulled EX that time, but...USAA shows EX was pulled both times and nothing on EQ?  Weird.  Whatev, it's a no-go for me.

I did contact the Cap 1 EO and spoke with them today.  They are sending my file onto an UW to see what they can do for me, if anything.  Seriously, this is IT for me until I get the 0% CCs paid waaaayyyyy down.  Lessons learned the hard way.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - February 2013

Well everyone, I cut my goal short for leaving the garden by 3 months. I have started another thread to talk about my credit success that I had this evening. I don't want to bring that up in the garden, but anyway,  I traded in my gold spade for a seedling.

I'm bringing jalapeno poppers and some texas sweet tea to the party, back to the garden I go! Smiley Very Happy

Holy mackeral! Congratulations!

Joining the garden club!

App'd this month for:

Lowes (denied even after recon)

Discover IT -- approved $4,000

CU Visa - approved $500

JC Penny - approved $500

These are my only cards and I'm good for awhile so I thought I'd come look at all the pretty flowers in the garden, sit back and enjoy a cold one!
