Re: Garden Club Meeting - February 2014

I belong here with you guys!! I recently stepped out after a long 15 months of gardening! My secured cards are expiring in the next couple months, so I made the move to upgrade.

Big app day, scored 3 new cards! Chase Freedom, Amex Green, and Discover it.

I'm back in the garden! I have no need to come out until it's time to move or buy a house (hoping it's the latter).

2009-10 - C/Os
2011 - Debts paid, no open credit
2012 - Rebuilding started, secured cards opened, SL rehabbed - EQ myFICO 636
2014 - 10k Discover, 3.5k Freedom, AmEx Green, SL, Auto Loan - EQ myFICO 695

Congratulations!

Thank you!

The part of gardening I enjoyed the most the first time around was watching my offer-by-mail ads improve.

I started receiving First Premier, Credit One, and similar nasties two years ago. And now I get Amex and Chase (among many others). Discover was a backup (and an afterthought) for me, and turned out to be a huge CL.

I just realized I might pick up a Bill Me Later at some point... hmm.. Cross that bridge when I'm tempted by it (super ridiculous sale or something). I really wanted to get one a couple weeks ago for a huge sale, but I refused to take the Inq, because I knew this was coming. I missed a great deal, but I got a great wallet. No regrets!
