Still here.

Hello all, I am also gardening since 3 weeks. I want to go for a Zync or Green toward November so I can start my AMEX relationship this year. My goal is a Platinum / Mercedes-Benz Platinum by 9 months optimal, 12 at most.

I will be in the garden growing for now. No new cards for at least 1 year. My 1 month anniversary will be July 18th. I was bad with 4 new cards in June.
Just keep that mortgage app in mind. It sounds to me as if you don't NEED a new card, but you enjoy the app and approval process. Is this correct? If so, remind yourself that the mortgage is a very important app and needs to take priority. It will have a huge impact upon your financial and credit future, so focus on that.
In the meantime, if you feel like you need to have something to work towards in the short term, immediate future, remember that you're less than two weeks away from earning a bronze spade recognition level on this thread! ![]()

Still going strong. My urge to app for the new US Bank card has passed. Phew!
My Cap One started reporting as closed, but my Discover CLI has not reported
.
Last month I got an auto CLI on my WFNNB Avenue card. Going to try to remember to use my WFNNB Lane Bryant card every month/PIF to see if they'll give me an auto increase on that after 5 statements like the Avenue card. Other than that, I'm sitting pretty until October when I will app for BCE!

Ok, here I am, although I haven't even received my cards in the mail yet, it's time I learn to garden! No more apps until I go for my mortgage. Around this time next year my credit will be perfectly clean and I'll have a year of good history on 4 total cards.... with low utilization... and hopefully an 800+ credit score!
Please oh gardeners, impart your wisdom on me and keep me from apping ![]()

Congrats on your new cards... looks like you have some nice little seedlings to take care of! Now hang in there until your mortgage, take good care of what you currently have, and you should be in great shape. Welcome to the garden! ![]()
