Morning every one.  Got Dish installed yesterday morning and cancelled DirecTV last night.  Dish is sooo much better, I love the sling.

I finally pulled the plug on all cable and bought Roku's and Apple TV for the house and subscribed to Netflix / Hulu plus and a few others. SOOO much cheaper and the tv show // movie selection is great! FYI I used to have  DirecTV and loved is just not the cost.

This does not work with college football, but if they ever allowed HBO to be unbundled from cable/satellite I might could make the jump.

Welcome to the garden! If you tell us when your last app was, we can have a mod add the appropriate image to your signature. Feel free to ask any questions you may have as well.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - July 2014

Hi Gardeners,

Ok I have a dumb question. I feel like I should know the answer to this and maybe I do....

But,

Once my Midland collection falls off, will I get better CL's and APR terms on future credit applications. I am talking about CC's, mortgages, auto loans...whatever>

Assumably, my scores should go up. It was filed in 2012 so it is not that old however the original DOD is going to be 7 years shortly, thus why it is falling off.

I am not having any problems getting approved at this point. But I really am tired of low limits and high APRs. So once that is off...hoping to hit 700's.

Other than gardening (time) I can do nothing else to improve my scores after this.

CapOne $7500 | Discover $8500 | Amex ED $25K | Barclay SM $5700 | Chase Disney $500 | Chase Slate $5K | Target $3K | Hilton Amex $2K

Re: Garden Club Meeting - July 2014

My last app was for West Elm Sunday, July 20 @ 2:35pm.....they sent the "we've received your application.....7-10 message".........I am sick....need help to enter and stay gardening in order to stop this apps madness! On Saturday I was approved for $200 on Jc Penney....but on Friday.....I was denied for BOA cash back visa, Citi Simplicity and Chase Feedom (I am still waiting, because Chase is currently reviewing my app on the automated system, but I call and was informed that I was denied due to my BK). Sadly, I follow the recommendations from Credit Karma....and was denied. I thought that the chase freedom was like the discover it, and apparently they do care about the bk on your record.

Bk7 filed 7/2012, discharge 11/2012. Fico Thans 637, CKarma 679' Credit Sesame 659 and Quizzle 583 (equifax doesn't report the bk)

I currently have 9 credit cards. Best Buy $1,000 (3/2014), Old Navy $200 (5/2014), Victoria Secret $250 (5/2014), Amazon Store $600 (5/2014), PayPal SmartConect $500 (5/2014), Discover it $1,000 (6/2014), Macys $600 (6/2014) and JCPenney $200 (7/2014)
