Is there a correlation between too many cards and the inability to get CLI? I have seen lots of posts on here with folks who have several CC with low limits and are unable to get any or decent CLI. I was curious if one of the potential factors was the number of CC held.

IMHO it has more to do with what's on CR's that makes CLI's a factor and to many apps to quick doesn't help the matter
Just my view tho

Tonight's question (2 part question)
How do you know when you have to many CC's?
What can good credit provide for your future goals?
Tonight's Menu
Roasted chicken and potatoes
Chicken salad
Cake
Drink Menu
Wine and Beer
Non alcoholic drinks available
Don't see what you want ask your server
Awesomesauce dinner MJ!
Quick check in and I need to go pick up dinner for the kids
I know I have too many cards when I don't remember their due dates... And good credit will EVENTUALLY help me get into a crackshack house of my very own!
Need to change to the Bronze Spade later, I think I hit that date a few days ago however Macy's still has not reported to my credit report.

Thank you! It has been a slow journey but that's what I needed to ensure these new habits were completely ingrained and became second nature. I have definitely wanted to rush and there were days that I longed for the magic wand that would "poof" give me a great credit score. In spite of that impatience I know that , for me, slower has really been better.

It has been a very long week at work and I think I'm going to head to bed now. I'm really looking forward to sleeping in and NOT having any early morning meetings tomorrow.
Good night everyone. Thanks for letting me join you guys for the Friday night social.

Wow..!! What a nice set up, thanks Myjourney!!
I'm not sure when enough is "enough" but I know too many is when you can't use the online AAoA calculator because it only allows 20 entries. ~sigh~. Luckily only a few of mine have balances at the moment but I know I have plenty.. All but Amex, Barclay, Discover are in the SD for now.
For Part2.. The benefit for me is knowing that even with 20 open accounts; I now have the wisdom (thanks to you ALL) to know how to responsibly use then without tanking my utilitity & that IF I need it, I have it.
You all have given me stellar advice along the way & I can't thank you enough.
