I'm still here for the rest of this year.

And, I'm right beside you.  Still hoping to cultivate a good FICO® score and building up some AAofA.  I will be so glad to get out of limbo-land and what I mean by that is, because I have no FICO®, I don't have any numerical indication of how well I am doing, so I feel like I am in limbo.  However, I must give thanks because my credit reports are looking cleaner, Experian is only reporting "goodies" and no "baddies," Equifax and Transunion still have some baddies but thank God, they are supposed to be gone sometime in April/May.  No worries on heavy utilization because I have the pay before statement closing date system down -- I leave a dollar or two on only one card when the statement finally closes and pay that off before the statement due date.  I've developed a habit of doing this and, I hope it will help to spike whatever score FICO® is generating for me.  So, for the rest of the year, its one day at a time, with continued prayers for a good harvest.

It thrills my heart to read of so many good approvals for prime cards lately and, even a report or two of graduations from secured to unsecured cards. Springtime is off to a good start. Smiley Happy

I think I'll go get a glass of iced tea and do some light internet shopping with my young toy cards.  My best to all of you!

Garden...month 2 Smiley Happy

After a slew of new accounts and closures, I've got my lineup of cards right where I want. Unfortunately I took a massive FICO hit and now sit < 720. I know its still a good score but its a 20-30 point drop after everything reported.

I've been app free for over a month! Wow, I really feel like an addict. I really don't count that Jan Amex app, because it will be backdated to 2004. Anyway, I have great cards, and only have room or plans for 1-2 more in the next 2 years. I just read The Road to 850, and it has done wonders with keeping me away from the app button. I do, however, plan to maybe prune one $375 limit card opened in 2007. It's a store card, and I no longer shop there, plus I really only want major cards with respectable CL. So here's to everyone who is in the garden...have a great month!

Why aren't you counting it? Mine was backdated too but I still took a hit for the inquiry.
