super de duper frustrated. Still waiting on house to close, at least it cleared in house underwriting now, they're going to overlook the rent situation so long as USDA doesn't ask for it. I balance transferred $300 of my husbands remaining Sears card balance over to my 0% interest Playstation card. Now we could pay the balance in full for the Sears card, but, hubby is balking in case closing costs come back much higher on the house. We could be done with the house deal in as few as 7 business days, 4 business days to clear USDA and 3 more business days to actually close. I want this chapter of our lives over with so badly! Knowing what I know now, I will never be paying interest on a credit card again. It's just so frustrating to be stuck through another payment cycle on that Sears card.

Hang in there. 7 days is not that long. It will be behind you before you know it and you will have tired hands from signing all those documents....![]()

I'm just so worried something bad is going to happen that screws it up. Sears just reduced his credit limit to just over his balance, but, I caught it in time. Bought his credit reports again and there's nothing negative on them, so, at least that's a relief. I was afraid they reduced it because some negative information showed up, but, all is well. It was a scramble this morning though, paying and balance transfering just in case the closing runs a few days over and Sears has time to report again.

Just checking in to stop myself from apping for something I don't need
I have plenty of prime credit, but when I read this board sometimes I want to press that button
even with frozen reports etc...

Well I am back again after another brief exit to get a Wally World card (yes I wanted the score:-)). 27 days app free this time. I think I am finally ready to commit for a while to the gardening thing. I had a bunch of clean up work to do before I was completely ready anyway. But I did get an auto increase on my Citi card today. That was a nice surprise. I have been pondering if I will try again for the Amex CLI. I think I may after my next payment to Citi posts...so I am shooting for around June 15th as Amex reviews my account around the 11th. That should put me in a better position with 9% on just the Citi card and no other balances reporting. I go back and forth on it. I am really not sure whether to pull the trigger on that again. I guess when that time comes I will know. It won't bother me either way. I am holding on to my goals of getting the Citi account to zero. That way I can have a fresh slate to handle my credit cards the right way.

I hear you on that one.. Though, minus the prime cards. I'm still in rebuilder credit mode, but, realistically have at least 6 months before I can qualify for better anyways.. ![]()

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! With any luck at all, this will be over and done with in a few days and you can breathe a sigh of relief. ![]()

Good for you! If you don't need it, stay away from the app button!

Well, been looking at some apartments for renting in the future... and the top 3 options all take electronic payment but after doing my due diligence, all 3 revealed that they only accept payment via checkings/savings accounts. What does that mean for me?
Unless the CSP changes its spending requirements for the bonus, I'm not getting it anytime soon this year... which also means, I'm apparently not going to be apping for anything else, anytime soon. This was the only card I was looking at, and with the idea pretty much dissolved, I'll just concentrate on getting my balances down and future CLI's.
Hopefully the Freedom will give me an auto CLI in 2-3 months time, if not, so be it. Utilization is my priority at this point and letting my new three accounts age with time.
