Re: Garden Club Meeting - May 2013

Still here gardening!  I must say that the app itch goes away as time passes by.  I also realized that I have a nice list of CC's and that I really don't need anything else, just wanted it.  I have enough in CL's to get anything that I want, especially since I got my NFCU CL at $22K.  I do have some other CC's that I would like, but they are not necessary.  Knowing that I don't need and that I just "want" makes all of the difference in me being able to handle the "app itch syndrome".  At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it Woman LOL!

Plus my reports are frozen to help if any weak moments occur.  Also, I lost my pin for TU.  Does anyone know how to get a new one?

Major CC's - Barclay's ($5.5K) | Barclay's Sallie Mae MC ($5K) | DCU ($7.5K) | Discover IT ($1.4K) | Genisys Visa ($1.4K) | NFCU Visa ($22K) | Navcheck ($15K) | Chase Freedom ($5K) | SDFCU Visa ($8K) | Amex BCP ($9.5K) | Amex Delta ($10K) |Store CC's| -Amazon ($4K) | Catherines ($850) | JCP ($4K) | Macy's ($1.7K) | Avenue ($850) | Victoria's Secret ($1.4K) | Walmart ($4.1K) | Paypal SC ($1.3K) | HSN ($2.5) | Sears ($2.6K) | Sams Club ($4.1K) |Goal|: Age with grace to 750 across the board |Last app|: 3/3/2014

Very well said and so true WTG

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Garden Club Meeting - May 2013

Hi, I am new to gardening! I just purchased my first home, bought a car and added two new lines of credit KOHLS, and NAVCHEK through NFCU. I am happy and done for a while. I would like to see my scores increase. I cant think of anything else needed for a while. I will take it one month at a time. Wish me luck!
Goal Score: 700 Across the Board

Good luck and welcome to the Garden Club.  You can add a seedling to your signature in MyFICO to signify your gardening state if you are interested!

Congrats on the new seedlings Smiley Very Happy

Re: Garden Club Meeting - May 2013

I've been app-free for 3 months now and decided to join the party. The first two and a half months I wasn't applying for anything since I needed to complete minimum spending requirements for my current credit cards. And then the last 2 weeks I did not apply because I realized I may need an auto loan in the next few months and would like to maximize my FICO for that. The savings from a reduced interest rate will offset the loss of potential gains from new credit cards I think.

I don't want to make those with bronze spades feel bad.  I'm a kind-hearted poster, you know.

Welcome to the garden mzware

Congarts on the home, car and new TL's

With time spent in the garden scores will increase but you're right in your thinking month by month is a good way of looking at it.
