Re: Garden Club Meeting - November 2012

Hello Gardeners.

I am 85 days app free and it feels great.  No itch to apply for anything new, just an itch to get a silver spade.

I've been very busy with school the past few weeks so it has kept my mind off of applying for anything.  Plus I will be leaving for vacation in about a week, so that and the holidays should keep me occupied into 2013.

Just in case I get busy next week, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. And I'm wishing continued FICO success for each of you!

Starting Score: 639 (Walmart TU)
Current Score: TU 715 (Barclay) EX 685 (myFICO) EQ 697 (myFICO)

I'm just waiting for January when I can PC my Amex gold to a PR Gold as the annual 30k spending bonus would benefit me greatly.

That's awesome!!  Congrats on your progress!  Gold spade is amazing  Smiley Happy

Can you please fill me in on the PRG 30k spending bonus?   I'm considering this card and I haven't heard of this bonus!

Again, Congrats on the gardening!

Sure thing! Spend $30,000 or more on your Amex PR Gold card and receive 15,000 bonus MR reward points!

Ok, that made up my mind.  I'm apping for PRG in January Smiley Happy   Thanks!

I'm at YTD spend over 34k (did not even have the Zync card until the end of Feb 2012)  I had gotten the Zync just to "try it out" to see if I liked charge cards since I never had one.   My husband and I love the charge card.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - November 2012

I'm still in the garden. I've been actively/purposely gardening for a good 4 months now... getting balances down, removing baddies, etc. And I am ONE POINT away from all of my scores being above 700 for the first time ever. It's crazy how much of a high it is to look at my scores and see a respectable number there. I must have gotten old when I wasn't paying attention because now the thought of being a responsible adult with a good credit score is so much more "sexy" than pretty much anything else I can think of. :-P

The credit cards I do have are subprime and so I know at some point I need to replace them... but with crappy income I'm thinking now isn't the time as I don't want to replace them with more crappy limits. Looks like more gardening for me, at least through the end of this year until I can determine what the next best course of action is. Silver Spade now, Gold, here I come!

Starting Scores July 2012: EQ FICO 645, TU FICO 636, EXP (CCT) 638
Feb 2015 Scores: EQ FICO 758, TU FICO 753, EX 749

I've been relaxing in the garden, and trying to keep the app weeds at bay. Looking forward to my platinum spade in a couple months so I must stick to my long term goal of inquiries dropping off to zero.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - November 2012

Still in the garden.... app itch is strong for PRG. The fact that ive got a balance reporting from a remodel in my duplex plus a surprise tax bill my husband got from the state is keeping me firmly in the garden.
