@Ravensfan2001 wrote:Hi everyone. I'm new to the myfico.com forum and this is my first day here in the garden. I started my rebuilding journey in May 2012 with a secured Capital One card. Then I kinda went crazy recently after getting approved for a Target card. I've opened 7 new accounts this month alone, and am still waiting for some answers for a few more cards. It gets addicting when you have bad credit, but are getting approved for cards left and right! So my AAoA is probably down to 2 months (???). I think it's time to settle down. I have all I need for now. Next goal - mortgage.
Thanks for having me here. Good luck to everyone.
Welcome, Ravensfan! Yes, definitely time to settle. You want your seedlings to grow and bear fruit. You should wait one year before approaching mortgage, so your inquiries will fall and the accounts will not be as new.
Thank you! That is the plan. And I carry my anti-itch cream in my purse for that itchy trigger finger.
I have officially gotten my bronze spade and it feels good. Onward and upward! I'm enjoying gardening. The forum has been a model in showing how gardening is helpful. Thank you
Gardening until Aug 2013!!!
Good Morning everyone!!! hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! I reisisted an application itch last night...I was at Best Buy and saw this TV i wanted for 1500 dollars plus a playstation for 260...I was so close to applying for their store card and thought about for a good 5 minutes but didnt give in, i went ahead and paid half of it cash and the rest with one of my other credit cards that had a zero balance.... I resisted and i am proud of myself for that....still application free!!!!

Welcome to the GC!
Yes, you have some nice little seedlings to tend. That's a good amount for a rebuild, and properly cared for, will give you plenty of positive reporting history. So, focus on your cards, enjoy any soft CLIs that you may receive, and allow your AAoA to recover. Best wishes as you continue on your rebuilding journey.
